The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is the state agency responsible for managing fish and wildlife. The Wildlife Department receives no general state tax appropriations and is supported by hunting and fishing license fees and special taxes through the Wildlife & Sport Fish Restoration Program on sporting equipment and motorboat fuels paid by anglers, boaters hunters and recreational shooters.

Good Event

Hopefully a lot of you got to go this weekend if you were in the area, this is a wonderful event.
Presented by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and a coalition of conservation organizations, agencies and sponsors, Expo celebrates our great state's natural diversity and opportunities for the sporting enthusiasts and newcomers.
From camping and outdoor skills to shooting sports and fishing, from bird watching to kayaking, Expo visitors have an opportunity to try their hands at three days of fun in the outdoors.

Got a my tackle bag from, yeah you guessed it, Bass Pro Shop! Needless to say my Thermacell has it's own personal compartment in the bag...oh yeah baby!

Ummm...yes this is a Thermacell commercial and yes I have watched it 10 times!
No that does not make me weird or something...it makes me an informed "bug free" citizen, lol!
Now shut up and watch the commercial!

What the Heck!!

So I'm sitting on my patio with my coffee and my thermacell just enjoying the morning, creating posts for this blog... bug free :-)
After a bit I notice a fly go buzzing past my face and I'm like "no way"! Then I noticed one land on me and I'm like...what the heck!

Then here comes a gnat, thats pronounced "ga-nat" in Oklahoma, lol, flying by my face so I said ok that's it and I finally think to pick up my Thermacell, remember I was in deep thought, rolling my own eyes...its out of repellent and butane!

At that moment it hit me how great this thing really works...no bugs until it ran out , wow!!
